Who we are

Quiet Loon is operated by Quiet Loon Limited, a company registered in England and Wales. References to “we”, “us”, or “Quiet Loon” in these terms mean Quiet Loon Limited. References to “you” mean the person or household using the service.

What Quiet Loon does

Quiet Loon is a family organisation tool. You forward emails to a personal Quiet Loon address and the service uses AI to extract events, deadlines, tasks, and reminders, then displays them on a shared family dashboard. Optional features include WhatsApp reminders and a weekly email digest.

Quiet Loon is intended to reduce the mental load of managing family logistics. It is not a substitute for your own judgement. Please read our AI Disclaimer for important information about the limits of AI extraction.

Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. By signing up you confirm that you are 18 or over and that the information you provide is accurate. Quiet Loon is not intended for use by children directly — it is a tool for parents and adults managing a household.

Your account

You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for all activity that takes place under your account. If you believe your account has been compromised, contact us immediately at hello@quietloon.com.

Each subscription covers one household. You may invite one additional family member on the Basic plan, or unlimited family members on the Premium plan. Account sharing beyond this is not permitted.

Acceptable use

You may use Quiet Loon for lawful personal and household purposes. You must not:

• Forward emails belonging to other people without their knowledge and consent
• Use the service for bulk email processing, commercial data extraction, or any purpose other than personal household organisation
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or interfere with the service or its infrastructure
• Use the service in any way that breaches applicable law, including data protection law
• Share your forwarding address publicly or allow third parties to use your account

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that breach these terms without notice.

Ownership of your data

The content of emails you forward, and the events, tasks, and reminders extracted from them, belong to you. Quiet Loon does not claim any ownership over your data. We process it solely to provide the service to you.

By using the service you grant Quiet Loon a limited licence to process your email content for the purpose of providing and improving the extraction service. This licence ends when you delete your account.

We do not sell your data, use it for advertising, or share it with third parties except as described in our Privacy Policy.

Subscription, trial, and billing

• Free trial — new accounts receive a 14-day free trial. A valid payment method is required to start the trial. You will not be charged until day 15.
• Plans — Basic (£4.99/mo or £39.99/yr) and Premium (£9.99/mo or £79.99/yr). Plan details and features are described at quietloon.com.
• Billing — subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period. You will be charged the price shown at sign-up. We will give you at least 30 days' notice before any price increase takes effect.
• Cancellation — you may cancel at any time via the billing portal in your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period; you retain access until then. No partial refunds are issued for unused time.
• Refunds — we do not offer refunds except where required by law. If you believe you have been charged in error, contact us within 14 days at hello@quietloon.com.

Service availability

We aim to keep Quiet Loon running reliably, but we cannot guarantee uninterrupted access. The service may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, updates, or events outside our control. We will endeavour to communicate planned downtime in advance.

Quiet Loon is provided “as is”. AI extraction is not 100% accurate — please always verify important information against the original source. See our AI Disclaimer for more detail.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Quiet Loon Limited's liability to you in connection with these terms or the service is limited to the total fees you have paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or special losses, including missed appointments, lost data, or any loss arising from reliance on AI-extracted information.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. If we make material changes we will notify you by email at least 30 days before the changes take effect. Continued use of the service after that date constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. If you do not agree, you may cancel your subscription before the changes take effect.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising under them are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
